NO TO WAR IN SUDAN WE DREAM OF A HOMELAND THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE EVERYONE

Every morning the war reveals its ugly face. We open our eyes to more destruction. We hear new stories about displaced people who lost their homes, children displaced by missiles, and dreams turned into ashes. War is not just a battle between two parties; it is a mill that swallows everyone and leaves nothing but destruction.
When we said no to war from the beginning, it was not an intellectual luxury, or a gray attitude as we were accused, but rather an outright bias towards life, for the people who pay the highest price for the homeland, which is fragmented every day, and yet this position was directed at non-stop treason campaigns, as if rejecting war was a crime or betrayal!
But let us ask aloud, where are they now who called for war and fueled it? Did they achieve the victory they were promised? Is the conflict over or has it become more inflamed? Have people’s lives improved or become worse than we thought? The bitter truth is that war only produces generations of victims and leaves only a country full of wounds, and we are on the threshold of the blessed month of Ramadan, which is the month of mercy and tolerance. Calls are rising to declare a humanitarian truce that would allow civilians some reassurance, allow aid to be delivered to those in need, and allow thinking about solutions to stop the bloodshed. Responding to these calls is not weakness, but rather proof of the realization that war cannot be destiny and that peace is not impossible if intentions are true.
The rejection of war was not cowardice or bias toward any party. Still, it was a principled and moral position because we believe that peace alone is the way to build a homeland that accommodates everyone. The war is a fire that burns everyone, even those who ignited it for this. Despite. Still, war. Still, in the treason campaigns, we will continue to say it without hesitation, no to war, yes to peace, yes to stopping the fighting in Ramadan, yes to a future without blood!
